Ten Great Barr students from Birmingham and their teachers have just returned from an exciting trip to Waterloo. Waterloo Schools Charity has a partnership with Great Barr School.

Over the half term holiday they experienced what it is like to go to school in the poorest country in the world and even worse a refugee camp in the poorest country in the world. Kissy Refugee Camp shelters some 3,000 refugees on the outskirts of Waterloo and Great Barr School has completely refurbished their primary school. The children enjoyed erecting a climbing frame they bought with them and also visiting the medical centre at the camp.
